Relay Questions?
Find all your answers (and more!) Under Helpful Info> About Those Relays... or by clicking HERE and scrolling down. Be sure to have your swimmer signed-in at Athlete Check-in at least 15 minutes before the meet starts to avoid losing relay spots.
Summer storms are common this time of year. We keep a close watch on the radar and use Weatherbug for lightening alerts. We don't cancel just because of rain. Keep an eye on your SwimTopia mobile app or email for alerts if storms approach and we need to cancel or postpone a practice or meet.

Welcome to the Home page of the BCW Barracudas Swim Team. Visit this page often for all the latest news and information on the Barracudas season.
The Barton Creek West Barracuda Swim Team is an ALL VOLUNTEER RUN non-profit swim team based at the Barton Creek West swimming pool. We are part of the Austin Hills Swim League. The team has roughly 180 swimmers, ages 5-17 (we do have some 4yo siblings). For the purpose of summer league, the athletes compete the entire season at their age on May 1 of the current year. The vast majority of the swimmers are students of Barton Creek Elementary and Westridge Middle School.
The swim program is designed to focus on the development of young swimmers - - enhancing both competitive skills and proper stroke technique. Therefore, it is a requirement that swimmers are able to swim unassisted across the pool.
The Computers page posts updates and information on topics related to technology, our timing system, electronic scoreboard, and Meet Manager software. If you're curious about which Barracudas--past and present--are the fastest in the pool, check out our Team Records page. The Helpful Info page is where to go to educate yourself on meet operations.
