What a season for the Barton Creek West Barracudas!
We recorded 1,207 personal best times and had 61 swimmers earn All-Star ribbons across 154 events, with standout performances across every age group.
We also celebrated major milestones, including 16 five-year swimmers and 3 ten-year Barracudas: Ava Arrambide, Brayden Cheang, and August Heller.
A huge thank you to our coaches, volunteers, and families who made the season possible.
We expect registration for the next season to open around Spring Break 2027.
See you at the pool next year!
BCW Barracudas & Summer Swimming
Since 1994, the Barton Creek West Barracuda Swim Team has proudly introduced swimmers ages 4–17 to the fun and excitement of summer swimming and friendly competition.
We are an all-volunteer-run, non-profit team based in Barton Creek West, offering young swimmers a chance to grow confidence, improve technique, and gain race experience in a positive, encouraging environment.
The team is coached by paid professionals and emphasizes fun, friendship, and personal progress. Our eight-week season includes near-daily afternoon practices, weekly swim meets, themed Fun Fridays, and a season-ending celebration.
We are part of the Austin Hills Swim League and each summer welcome about 170 swimmers, many from Barton Creek Elementary and West Ridge Middle School.
No competitive experience required! Swimmers simply need to be able to swim 25 yards across the pool without assistance.
Our team colors—blue for Barton Creek and green for the surrounding neighborhood trees—represent the heart of our team spirit.
Ready to swim fast, make friends, and have a blast?
Join the Barracudas! Chomp Chomp Chomp!
