Barton Creek West Barracudas

Since 1994, the Barton Creek West Barracuda Swim Team, an ALL VOLUNTEER RUN non-profit swim team based at the Barton Creek West swimming pool, has introduced swimmers ages 4 - 17 to the sport of competitive swimming.

The swim program is designed to focus on the development of young swimmers - enhancing both competitive skills and proper stroke technique.

We are a member of the Austin Hills Swim League with roughly 180 swimmers, mostly from Barton Creek Elementary School and West Ridge Middle School. Registration opens mid-March, weekday afternoon practices begin in late April, and meets run early May through mid-June. For the purpose of summer league, the athletes compete the entire season at their age on May 1 of the current year.
