Kalahari Team Event (4:00 - 9:00 pm)
Kalahari Waterpark in Round Rock

End: 9:00 PM

Join us for our team kick-off event at Kalahari on Friday 5/1! Your ticket includes Waterpark access from 4:00 - 9:00 pm to indoor and outdoor pools, slides and more, along with coupons for an 8” jumbo slice of pizza & large fountain drink for each attendee. 

This is not a drop-off event, and all attendees must be accompanied by a ticketed adult (guests 2 and under are free). Tickets are non-refundable, though Kalahari can offer a voucher for a future visit (with restrictions) if someone is unable to attend the day of the event.  This is entirely optional, but a very fun event and we hope you can make it!

Intrasquad

Warm-up: 2:25 PM
End: 5:15 PM (estimated)

Meet start: 3:00 pm 

Intrasquad is an unofficial practice meet for kids and parents to experience a swim meet before we compete with other teams. Gives everyone a chance to learn how a swim meet works (or try to remember what they forgot from last year). Will be similar to a regular meet, but will only have early relays and they will be freestyle relays and the teams will be scrambled. There will be no medley relay. Relay spots will be assigned RANDOMLY.

Concessions stand will be open depending on weather and availability. 

Meet Timeline

  • Volunteers Arrival (please be on time)
    • Setup Crew: 1:45pm
    • Check-in: 2:00pm
    • AGP: 2:00pm
    • Timers/Stroke Judges/Ready Bench : 2:45
  • 2:15pm - Swimmers Arrive
  • 2:25pm - Warm-up starts
    • 2:25 - 2:35: 6 - 8s
    • 2:35 - 2:45: 9 - 10s
    • 2:45 - 2:55pm: 11 & up
  • 2:55pm - Relay Swimmer check-in deadline @ checkin table
  • 3:00pm - Meet starts
  • 5:15pm meet finish (estimate). We will update estimated meet finish time on Sunday morning.

Important:

  • Results will not count as a time or a splash towards the Champ Meet
  • Will use seed times from last year if available
  • Ribbons will be awarded Monday after practice
  • Relays for this meet are random! Encourage your experienced swimmers to help the newbies!

Family Fun Night (Pizza and Movie at the Pool)

Join us at the pool for a family friendly movie night featuring the classic John Candy summer adventure, The Great Outdoors!  We’ll have pizza or other food for sale and popsicles or a sweet treat. While we will have lifeguards monitoring the pool, this is a FAMILY event and you may not drop off your children without a responsible adult in charge of them.
