Barracuda Swimmers -

Get ready, we are opening up registration for the 2026 summer swim season starting Sunday, March 22 at 12:00 pm to swimmers ages 4-17! To kick things off with a SPLASH, we are hosting Danny’s Ice Cream Truck outside the BCW Big Pool from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on the 22nd and will have Board members there to answer any questions you have about the team or registration. Our new Head Coach, Alice Teeters, will be there to say hello! Stop by to grab an ice cream bar and say hi to your fellow Barracudas! We’d also love for you to bring along any friends or neighbors considering joining the team.

Here's what to look forward to this season: Following registration, Get Your Gear Day will be held on April 19th and practice begins April 20. This year we are bringing back our Kalahari waterpark kickoff event on Friday, May 1st. Discounted tickets (only $40!) are sold during registration through April 24th. We are also excited to let you know there are NO tri-meets this year and we are hoping to add a fun new family movie night event on May 29th! The season ends with our league-wide Champs meet on June 13th at the RISD pool and our annual pool party on June 17th!

We are excited to welcome Coach Alice Teeters and her son, Victor Teeters, as our new Coaches for the 2026 swim season! With over 25 years of experience as a learn-to-swim program developer and instructor, Coach Alice brings a deep passion for the sport and a commitment to helping every swimmer reach their potential. Her background has always been focused on building strong foundations and fostering a love for the water, and she couldn't be more excited to bring that expertise to our neighborhood team. Victor has been a lifelong swimmer and currently swims for Oakland University. He was a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and NISCA Academic All-American in high school and brings a great depth of knowledge regarding competitive swimming to share with our team. He’ll be joining us after finals on April 27th. Please help us give a big Barracudas welcome to Coach Alice and Coach Vic!

You will be able to find the practice schedule (same as last year), the league meet schedule, and other events. Returning swim families can log in to their accounts in the upper right hand corner to subscribe to the calendar and prepare for registration.

Like last year, we will be asking everyone to sign up for 2 volunteer shifts during registration and complete a total of 4 volunteer shifts during the season.

As outlined on the registration page, we are registering swimmers in four stages, please be sure to register in your specific heat:

• Heat 1: Members of the Barton Creek West HOA
  • Opens: Sunday March 22 @ 12 noon
  • Register early! Guaranteed registration only until Heat 2 opens
• Heat 2: Returning & Former Barracuda Families (new siblings too!)
  • Opens: Tuesday March 24 @ 12 noon
  • Register early! Guaranteed registration only until Heat 3 opens
• Heat 3: BCE Students & Alumni / WRMS Students & Alumni
  • Opens: Thursday March 26 @ 12 noon - Waitlist will be processed in order if any age groups are full
• Heat 4: Everyone Else
  • Opens: Friday March 27 @ 12 noon - ON WAITLIST

It is important that you register when your heat opens! We are providing priority to returning Barracudas, but will not be able to hold spots once the roster fills up and prime volunteer spots fill up quickly. Remember to log in to your account before beginning registration.

We are also looking for teen assistant coaches & helpers. Either paid or volunteer (great for HS graduation and college applications) positions available. Email [email protected] if you are interested and someone will reach out as soon as a time for interviews has been set.
