Hey Barracudas,

65 and rainy is not the weather improvement we'd hoped for, so all practices will be cancelled this afternoon, 4/21.  Good luck to all our swimmers taking STAAR tests today and we'll see you at the pool tomorrow!  Practices will begin tomorrow, 4/22 at the Big Pool and the schedule can be found here: https://www.bcwbarracudas.com/practice-schedule-2...

Please note, the pool will likely still be cold tomorrow even if outside temps improve. You may want to bring extra towels, swim parkas, thermos of hot chocolate or hot tea, etc. to help your swimmer warm up quickly after practice. If your kiddo is not up for a polar bear plunge, that's OK!  Try again Thursday or Friday.  We want Barracudas to be a fun and positive experience for everyone, so don't force it if your kiddo is upset that it's cold.

Reminders: 

- A parent or responsible adult (parent, grandparent, nanny, babysitter, etc.) must stay with your 6&under during his/her practice. 

- Thursday: 9-10 and 11&up practices are cancelled due to the BCW board meeting. 

- Friday: Our first Fun Friday!  We'll have pool games and a sweet treat after practice for all swimmers.

- Kalahari ticket sales close this Friday 4/24.  Hope to see you there (Friday May 1st)!  No drop offs, all swimmers must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. 

- Registration is now open for our Intrasquad swim meet on Sunday, May 3.  Please log in to SwimTopia and indicate whether your swimmer will or will not be attending and sign up for individual events.  Relays will be assigned by the coaches.  

- You can also adjust your volunteer commitments through SwimTopia.
